As much as I hate to say it, were it Halo Universe vs Gears Universe, Halo would win.

Everything in Gears takes place on the surface of a single planet that Covenant ships could just glass like they were doing to Earth or the UNSC would nuke them from orbit and there wouldn't be any resistance.

If it came down to a ground fight between the two, the Halo Universe has enough biomass to just sweep aside the Gears defenses. Even if the Halo Universe went in bare-handed, there'd be enough bodies to overwhelm an entire planet.
